Yes, I’m still here. I know it has been a long time since I have written. The fact is that there are no new things to be done. I have done some interesting paperwork for clients. We sued a man who gave my client herpes and prevailed. I got an emancipation for a young lady so she could have custody of her two young siblings. These are typical of cases that no attorney would take on. Why you ask? Because once the paperwork is done, there is no more work for an attorney to keep collecting money for. I love doing the cases that no attorney will take on. Now, don’t go digging up crazy things for me. These were people who really needed help.
It appears that the foreclosures are still a big problem. Only now instead of using the HAMP program, we have to deal directly with the lender and whatever programs they have come up with. Hi Travers, yes the mortgage process can be a little daunting. The choices are going to a local bank or working with a mortgage broker. Sometimes you work with the owner directly and the owner can hold the mortgage if he/she owns the property free and clear. Sometimes you can rent a property with an option to purchase it at a fixed price set at the time you sign the lease. I think these are the most popular forms of obtaining a mortgage. However, anyone at anytime can get behind in their mortgage due to any number of reasons, ie. death in the family, loss of a job, divorce, illness are among the most popular reasons. Thank you for your comments. If you want to keep your home, now is the time to contact me. As I have stated all along, this is a mortgage problem and not a legal problem. Please do not go to attorneys, they don’t know how to do this properly. I just spoke with a client who has already given an attorney $4,800.00 and now he tells her she won’t be able to get a modification because she isn’t making enough money. I pre-qualified her and she absolutely qualifies. I can’t believe that this attorney had the nerve to then tell her to call him back in February and he’ll see what he can do and he had her give him 4 post-dated checks to be cashed over the next year. I told her to go get her checks back from him. There are so many stories like this that I just shake my head. This is why it is so important for anyone who is finding me, to not keep me a secret. Tell everyone you know about me. My fees are very reasonable and I KNOW WHAT I AM DOING! All the other paralegal work is done by my staff of college degreed paralegals who are professional and experienced. We do all the work, NATIONWIDE.
The paperwork for things like divorces and custody etc. is the same that comes out of any attorneys office at a fraction of the cost.
I’m glad you see the value of what I do. The problem with people not finding me is that I charge so little that I can’t afford to pay for advertising and I am not technology savvy. The little advertising I have done in my local newspaper never seems to generate any business and there is a local magazine that I advertised in and again, no business generated. These were both very expensive and I feel that I just wasted my money. My best hope is word of mouth. My business has been referrals and people find me through Google.
